Lewis River Campground was founded in 1948 by Community of Christ, at the time RLDS, when 100 families each built a cabin, implementing a foundation that would hold decades of groups in a space of refuge, healing and connection. Giving people a recurring invitation to pause and simply be, together.
The Lewis River campgrounds has a rich history of providing a "place away" for people to fellowship with one another. These rustic, beautiful grounds allow visitors to connect with nature and find peace among the surroundings. Whether it's listening to the musical lyrics of the creek that runs through it or standing in a grove of trees visiting with the deer and bunnies, it's a place to take a breath, slow down, and appreciate the world that surrounds us.
The amenities allow for groups to be in nature while still having a comfortable overnight experience. The chapel accommodates large group presentations and the kitchen has the tools and equipment needed for camp cooks to feed a crowd. The lodge provides a smaller group experience and provides ADA compliant facilities.

I've been coming to Lewis River since I was a kid and it holds a special place in my heart. It is a temperate oasis of peace and harmony. The nature which surrounds and fills the campground is always stunning. This space is well suited for so many different events and gatherings and I would highly recommend it to anyone interested.
